Grabbed this stuff about 2 weeks ago along with a full pick-up's worth of what I know to be beech...Wish I got there sooner It was pretty dark out and someone on a bike riding by asked me what "set" i "leaned with" (gang affiliation) so my trip ended shortly after...got out safe and with 2 loads of good wood!

The guys who cut down all the stuff said it was all oak but I know this isn't true because there was a ton of beech....

IMG 1-3... sample 1

IMG 4-6..sample 2

IMG 7-8 I think It's pin Oak...extremely heavy and had small limbs in all directions

IMG 9-10...Not sure, these were more like branches only 4-5" in diameter.

5,6,8 look like something in the Red Oak group, sounds like you nailed Pin with the branches; Can see the rays in 5.

1st specimen looks like silver maple to me
2nd specimen is definitely oak, not sure which species
3rd specimen very well may be some type of hickory.

The first four are maple. Could be Silver maple, could be Red Maple. The next tree is an oak, and Pin Oak seems like a good guess.

9/10 look like some of the smaller shagbark branches I cut up a month ago.
