I meet someone today with a large amount of oak that's down on there property. It's free I just can't manage it alone. I'm in lower Fairfield CT (Norwalk) and the wood is not far from me.

I'm a bit far, (Wolcott, CT) but if no one else can help I am willing to.
What do you need help with?

Need some one with a pick up and a better chainsaw than the (Poulan) I have. I'm going to see the wood next weekend.

If not for a rule against moving firewood into NYS I'd help you out. Good luck.

Yeah beware - you can't cross county lines in CT anymore either. We are in Litchfield Co.

Maybe we can work something out on a weekday. I've got plenty of wood. I could provide bigger saw and truck while you load. ==c How far from your place? We should talk on Wednesday.

Sounds good Steve, I'll the guy a call this week, sounds like he's about 15 min from my place

Did you take pictures of the wood? Maybe some pictures will drum up some more interest. Maybe there is so much downed tress around that everybody is spoiled or out of room for more.

I'm in Norwalk, CT. I'm a first year wood scrounger, but I have a 345 Husky (16in bar) and safety equipment, but I'm not sure if my chainsaw is "better" than yours and I don't have a pickup, so I'm in the same boat. What if you rented a Home Depot truck by the hour, but pre cut/split the trees onsite prior?

I'm just up the road in Fairfield. I don't have a chain saw yet,but plan on getting a new Stihl soon. I also have a 3/4 ton truck. I'd love to share a good score. Let me know if you're still looking for a pal.
