I searched real quick and didn't see an answer but if this was another topic I apologize.

I live in a cape style home. I want to put the wood stove in the basement. The question I have is:

Can the chimney go up and out the half basement window, then once out the window a quick angle to the right and then up? Since there is a regular size window directly above the basement window.

I have attached an awesome picture to show my illustration!!! LOL

Thanks in advance!!!

I think I'll print that out and let my 4 year old color it! %-P
Now, do any of the experts want to help this guy out??

Just make sure your 4 year old stays within the lines so the picture doesn't get ruined!! LOL

Not ideal, but if the cleanout tee at the window level is angled at 30 deg. then it can meet up with the 30 return angle once past the window. Kind of like this installation:

Any possibility of not going through the window and instead going through the wall with a wall thimble so that the pipe can go straight up?

That's right. And those elbows are costly. I'd go straight up if possible. It's going to look and work cleaner.
