Feeling the Heat

Wife had this Gum cut down when she had the big Oak cut but this one needed to be worked up first so she could put the calf lot fence back up. So we had a nice cool Sat. a week or so ago and we decided to cut into some the loader could somewhat handle and stack the logs off the ground and out of the way to cut up into firewood lengths later, not crazy about Gum, makes a lot of ashes but it does put off heat and that's what matters. Guess if we it get worked up and split it'll be ready Winter '15-'16. It was dying but not quite completely dead.

This is about all the loader cab handle, kept her low and slow.

Wow- you may need a bigger splitter! What was the diameter on that big boy?

Wow... I thought we had big gums growing out here but nothing like that. It looks like a forest tree. There's a lot of shoulder season wood there. :)
