Not to say that your Fv will run away, but it may have hit higher temps at night than you have observed during the day. Draft is usually stronger at night, because it's colder outside, and also because there is less stack effect from the house itself acting like a chimney when sunlight heats the attic, which competes with the stove's chimney for draft.Matt, as far as the overnight burns, you'll be fine, hottest my stove has gotten is 525, after running it during the day as if I were leaving it for the night. To me the Fireview seems well under control in the cat mode. I never worried about it running away..

YMMV, but stack effect strongly affects how a stove runs in this house. Our ol' smoke dragon insert in masonry chimney basically wouldn't run in the afternoon; the Fv + liner will run fine 24hrs, but I usually give it less air at night. Maybe you do too. . .anyhow, here's a trick you can use to check overnight temps:
