I did purchase from this dealer. Nothing but problems from day 1. After the first year of use the whole back of the stove was cracked all the way through. We noticed the change in the flame that's how we found it. I did get a new stove in two days and that's what raises my suspicion right now. Dealer told me they contacted Travis industries and they were sending a new stove on the next truck. I live in upstate New York and it is hard to believe that from Washington I can have a new stove installed in less than 2 days. Now less than a year old all the bolts on the leveling feet are stripped out and the catalytic combuster has crumbled. I have been trying since January to get a new combuster but they won't give me the time of day. I emailed Travis Industries but got a reply to contact my dealer. Of course I can't find a phone number to contact them anywhere.Have you tried contacting Lopi? http://www.travisindustries.com/contacts.aspx I realize they don't sell direct but if the dealer is not supporting their product, there has to be other options.
You could also use the map to find another dealer that is reasonably local...
What kind of issues are you having?
PS: Some dealers will assist even though you did not purchase from them, others will not as their mark-up is meant to help defray any warranty issues. Did you purchase this unit from this dealer?
Cat destruction could be user caused or it could be due to flame impingement. IIRC there is no flame guard before the cat on this stove.
I work as an installer that has been a Travis dealer for over 25 years. I couldn't get much of any help. Just finger pointing and trying to avoid accepting any blame. Shame on them!Did you get a contact within Travis Ind. in case the dealer leaves you hanging again. May want to follow up with a letter to identify the issues you have had with the dealer. Kind of puts them on notice that just because you have a lousy dealer, doesn't absolve them on stove warranty issues.
