Burning pellets the past few nights...more to dry the house than heat it. The north east spring is strange this year.

I'm burning right now. Explain to me again how the world is warming...grrrrr

On a better note. My lawn finally came to life. We are definitely 3 weeks behind.

Same here. I gave the stove the major cleaning job this weekend, it's done for the season.

Mid 80's sunshine.Never really do a summer clean because may have to fire stove up any month of the year.Has been known to snow every month up here.

burning right now :)

and the worst part about it is that my wife filled the hopper with my private stash of the last few bags of Hamers !!!!

34 degrees here right now .......... Yeah, I'm burnin' .................

49 yesterday was supposed to warm to 55 but it went down to 47 with drizzle and mist most of the day. Cleared over night and is that right now this morning as well ( well my computer says it's 47 my outdoor themo says it's 44). I set the stove on room temp 74 deg, the house is 73, the oil heat is set at 66 and was ready to trip on yesterday when I fooled it by turning on the stove. But ya, I did my flue cleaning Sunday but not the stove cause I knew cool weather was coming for mid week. One day was close to 80 last week ! But this is New England, you just never know here on the coast. July and August are pretty sure bets for some warm humid weather though. Sept is beautiful here, then we start again.

36F here. i never do the final cleaning until at least june 1st.

still burning for a while overnight/early morning a few times a week.

It got down to the low 40's outside last night and 59 in the house. It wasn't just cold. Everything in the house had that damp, dank feel to the touch. the pillows, sheets, clothing etc all felt like that. We declined to turn the heat on because it's supposed to be in the high 60's today.

If we are a few weeks behind on Spring I'm hoping that translates into a few extra weeks of mild fall in late Oct/ early Nov.

The first of June is only 3 days away and it dropped to 37 at my house last night. The stove's hopper was full before bed and was 3/4 empty this morning.

i used about 20 or so lb of pellets over about a 28 hour period but the house was 73 the whole time. It's off now, it got up to 60 outside today and sunny. I went for a bike ride and stuff.

Just fired up the pellet... Had the window open 68 degrees but now chilly in the house at 63. Tomorrow, dark, dank, and rainy forecast. As they say, light 'em up if you have them...3 more bags of shoulder pellet that is...

Burnt yesterday and last night. Just doesn't want to warm up. Seems like this is spring weather we never got!

Was supposed to go down to 50 last night, well it's 38 this morning. I have not turned on the stove after shutting it down yesterday, the cold has not penetrated the house yet, it's still 70 inside and supposed to be 63 out later today. June 1 around the corner here !

I'm out of pellets (I had a little over a ton left at the end of last year, so I only bought three tons for this winter, figuring I'd be able to pick up another 1/2 ton at home depot over the course of the year. Except I needed a full ton more, and HD ran out early. meh.), so I just put on an extra blanket at night

I have five bags or ten bags or so left, we picked them up about 5 weeks ago but then it sort of warmed up for a bit till now. Last night was cold, today is alright, it's up to 62 right now. My house temp got down to 69, I can live with that. But tonight supposed to rain, if it dampens in here over night I will burn again.

Finally done burning pellets for the year, It seems that the east coast has the same weather pattern that we had last week. Cold and miserable and then last tuesday it went to the upper 80"s overnight.
About a ton leftover for next year burned an extra 1/2 ton that we hadn't planned on.

Dumped the last bag in on Tuesday, done burning this year. Wife and kids are gonna have to use clothes and blankets to keep warm.

It's June 1st. Stove is off until October at the earliest. Put on a coat if you're cold.

I'm with TimfromMA, as much as I like to run around in shorts and short sleeves in the winter, this time of year calls for all of us burners to have what people wear when they burn oil or gas in the winter for heat, - sweat shirts
