unless we assume these are outside dimensions and he used 2x4 framing
which would make the interior volume 269.37268 ft3
or 2.104474 cords

This will only work if you cut your wood at 12", 16" or some multiple of. If you go 18", you can only stack two rows (36" wide) 'in' the shed, which would cut you down to about 2 cords. If you add that extra row, it will be sticking out by 6" and you'd have almost 3 cords.
