Yep been there too!! We use to fish "Governors land" not sure what it's real name is but all the locals called it this......

Yes, this was on the Salmon River.
The pay for fishing area is called the Douglaston Salmon Run, named after H. Douglas Barclay, a state senator from Pulaski.
The fish was quickly released so that she could carry out her biological imperative and make many more little browns!
 
looked like a good candidate for fillet and release.
Frankly I don't see how you could let that go.
