Well, today was the day. A couple major hiccups a handful of minor hiccups, but it's all done now.
Last week I removed a section of the hardwood floor and installed tile. The tile is precisely positioned to allow for a straight up and out chimney. Easy as could be.

This is where we started to run into problems.

The installer had forgotten the ceiling support, Major Hiccup #1.
The Stove top adapter was on "back-order" and not expected for a week. Major Hiccup #2.

The installers left to retrieve the ceiling support (2 hour round trip), I made some phone calls to try and locate a stove top adapter. Two calls and I had located one about an hour away. Two hours later, back at the house with all the pieces to make this happen, they got started.

Total install time (including transit to get parts): 8 hours.

All frustrations aside, we love the looks of this stove, It fits very nicely and complements the rest of our Decor.
We'd love to have a fire tonight, except it's still 75° out. Tomorrow is supposed to be much cooler and by Saturday the high is forecast to be 48°. That's Indiana for ya.

Fire Pictures are on the horizon, don't fret.

Ken

That is a good looking wood stove install. I have read so many good reviews of the Blaze King on this forum. I am sure you will be happy with your new wood stove.

Make certain to have windows and doors open you burn the first fire....and turn off smoke detectors..then turn back on after breaking in stove/paint job.

Looks good!

I'm sure glad we had that stovetop adaptor for you. Sometimes you have to hold your competitors hand...

Verrrry nice!

;lol Yeah, I wondered if he ran up there to get it. ==c Man, there's a bunch of BK dealers around Indy. I hope to have a look at the BKs next time I get up there but I don't know when that'll be.

Really? I thought us and the new place he got his from were it?

Website shows Bloomington, C'bus, Greentown, Batesville. All about 50 miles...

Never heard of Greentown. Batesville is the same company that installed the ops stove. They opened another store, and don't seem to have their stuff together very well.

Nice looking stove and nice looking install. I hope she does the trick for you.
