Well, today was the day. A couple major hiccups a handful of minor hiccups, but it's all done now.
Last week I removed a section of the hardwood floor and installed tile. The tile is precisely positioned to allow for a straight up and out chimney. Easy as could be.
Ashford in her shipping regalia.
This is where we started to run into problems.
The installer had forgotten the ceiling support, Major Hiccup #1.
The Stove top adapter was on "back-order" and not expected for a week. Major Hiccup #2.
The installers left to retrieve the ceiling support (2 hour round trip), I made some phone calls to try and locate a stove top adapter. Two calls and I had located one about an hour away. Two hours later, back at the house with all the pieces to make this happen, they got started.
Chimney is all DVL 15' in total.
And the Beauty sitting on her hearth!
Total install time (including transit to get parts): 8 hours.
All frustrations aside, we love the looks of this stove, It fits very nicely and complements the rest of our Decor.
We'd love to have a fire tonight, except it's still 75° out. Tomorrow is supposed to be much cooler and by Saturday the high is forecast to be 48°. That's Indiana for ya.
Fire Pictures are on the horizon, don't fret.
