Wont be able fit insulated liner without breaking out those darn flue tiles! do a six inch and pour vermiculate insulating mix around, its cheap and you wont need much.
As for the post about collecting water from square things with round buckets empty kitty litter tubs are great when you need a square bucket (and a lid!)
