Not a good pic for ID'img but it looks like some kind of fir/pine/softwood
 
2nd pic looks like poplar. 1st pic, the one in front looks like pine and the log in the back looks like red oak but hard to tell.
 
Oops didn't notice the second pic. Looks like red oak to me, especially the stump
 
The stump and lower trunk in the second pic are oak, probably Red Oak. I'd go for it.
