when the splitter is in the picture with splits and rounds then it's NOT seasoned. ;)

Yes, that would be WELL season. Great looking compost.

The local news had an article about a long term firewood seller in central Maine, he was quite proud that he bought logs two years in advance and let them sit so his customers would get dry wood. He also cuts and splits custom lengths. Sound to me like 2 year old logs run a few days before delivery on a processor.

"Season Hickory & Oak Firewood $50.00 a truck load. I can help you load it if needed.

wood is cut but not split, can be delivered after you pay for it"

Apparently they don't think it needs to be split in order to be seasoned. At least they tell you upfront.

They tell you because they believe it. They probably don't know what a moisture meter is!

When I had my stove installed in the fall 3 years ago and made the rookie mistake of trying to buy seasoned firewood (NOT) locally. A number of the guys on the phone would say it is seasoned I just have to split the logs. I had to tell everybody I was looking for something that had already been split and seasoned. I bought wood that was split and the next year, after it seasoned, it burned well.

Well this is different. Don't think I've ever seen this type of post before.

Will Cut/Split/ and-or Stack your firewood. Prices as low as 50 a cord depending on access, etc. If you have the wood but dont have the time or want to deal with it yourself gives us a call and we can do the work for you. We also sell firewood and remove unwanted trees.
