Dutchwest question

Hi folks...new to the forum, just got back into burning wood after a few years lay off.
Can anyone tell me the length of the cat thermometer probe I need for Dutchwest model #2183?
The old one is corroded badly, so I can't measure it.

Why don't you just buy the VC thermometer for it? Or at least, call your dealer.

Yes.. I might end up doing that.. the local dealer would have to order from his supplier.. said it could take 2 wks at least.. but I found another shop that had a different brand, and it is 3". Thought I might go that rte. instead.

As I remember it actually went down to the cat converter or very close to it.
I think you will be OK as long as it goes down through the refractory package....
