Efel Stoves From Lehmans

That's a neat stove! I was just up at lehmans a couple weeks ago getting a cast iron door for my chase. They have a really nice stove shop and is where I bought my Oslo.

Sorry, the video has several discrepencies that turn me off. Why is it that sales people constantly call their stove "the most advanced stove in the world". This is not the only stove that has a remote control, check out Nestor Martin or others with this option. I like Lehmans and Efel stoves, but this is not a revolutionary stove. Napoleon, Quadrafire, Pacific Energy, Jotul, Enviro all have steel stoves with a cast iron jacket. If someone is visiting a store that has one of these on the floor, please bring a tape measure and measure the firebox size. I'm guessing under 1.5 cu ft..It may be a great small stove but so far this is hard to tell from the marketing BS.

Here's some more info on Efel stoves. Doesn't look like they are anymore efficient than most other EPA phase II wood stoves but I do like the remote with thermostat control.

The S33 fire box is 1.6 cu ft
The Stanford 140 is 2.89 cu ft

I'm sure the S33 is a well made, and nice medium-small heater, but for most advanced stove tech I think of the Wittus Twin-Fire.

No joke. Saw that same kid earlier this week in Mass at a distributor open house. He was giving the same speech on the stoves."the most advanced stove in the world". Too funny

Woodland direct sells them too for a couple hundred cheaper and free shipping.

Looked up the manual and yes, Efel is made by Nestor Martin.

If the burn time claims are true it's pretty impressive for a small non cat.

Hi Guys, yes Nestor Martin, Effel, are all part of Thermic Distribution in Belgium.
Lehmans imports the Effel line, I am the Nestor Martin Importer. they are both the same quality with the exception of style.
Traditional or Contemporary.
Most of the burn chambers are the same whenever you see a 33,45, etc only the outer shells are different.
Here is the newest of the stoves coming in. these will need to go through EPA testing but we manufacture here so any changes to
combustion can be done at our location.

I had the same thoughts on this. I immediately thought of the Nestor Martin. And I chuckled at the "most advanced stove in the world" comment because every marketing gag about wood stoves mentions something along those lines.

That being said, it does look like a cool little unit.

Fiamma, those stoves look awesome. I tend to really like contemporary looking stoves. I love the base options. What kind of magic trick to you need to conjure to open one of those doors?

hmmmm Dampers don't work anymore? And the "hearthboard" or "pad" he talks about depends on location of centerline of installation as well as the ember protection minimum clearance from glass.... but, interesting ..

Ill attach the PDF of the new catalog for dims on the units, as far as clearances we have not run them yet. I have 3 here for testing. We made in in house lab so Guardian test labs comes to us for the UL listings. then we do some preliminary emissions to see how much we would need to change on combustion before sending it out to Dirigo for EPA.
The door has a lower swing out cover on the bottom which is where the door opens from.
