Englander NC30 - highly disappointed

Not much more to offer here except what has already been said. The NC30 is a good stove for the money and once you get your chimney corrected you will be running around in shorts the rest of the winter. Goodluck
 
Good tips Tony. Getting the flue warmed up and drawing strongly will help. Is this an interior chimney?
 
I agree with what many others have said, sounds like a draft issue, the 8" pipemcouldmbe causing a sluggish draft and if the horizontal run isn't pitched right then you might just have several small things combining to makemthe stove operate in a crappy manner. I like the idea of trying a small hot fire on startup to get that thing drafting, that might help. I think you may have to ultimatley address the chimney setup. Unfortunately the EPA stoves seem very finicky and if they are setup in a particular manner they will give you some headaches, but I think once you get it straightened out you will be vey happy with hat beast of a heater
