Ordered an Enviro Mini before Sept 25th to take advantage of the $250 mfg savings. Total was CAD$1750 for the stove.
Dealer called a few days after and said that the stoves are now back ordered up to a year due to a huge surge in demand so they are offering the floor model which is apparently been out for just under 2 years but has never been fired. The 2 year warranty only begins the first time the stove is fired.
I initially thought BS so I called Sherwood Industries who did confirm that there was indeed a large backorder on new stoves.
I left a message with factory tech support to ask if there are any major technical differences between the 2yr old floor model vs. a newly mfg'ed stove, waiting for a call back Monday. Going to look at the display stove today to check for a mfg date as well just to confirm its age.
Just thought I would let everyone know about the backorder situation with Enviro as well as see if anyone knows off the top of their head whether there is a difference between a 2yr old stove and one rolling off the mfg line right now.
