On a whim I picked up some pipe cleaners - the real kind from a smoke shop with bristles in them - and used them to clean out the outlets where the air wash for my glass comes out. Of course I always vacuumed them but obviously not too efficiently given the configuration. But the pipe cleaner got right down inside and even bent to go side to side a bit.

With a full overnight burn there isn't a trace of the famous Harman tracks across the bottom of my glass. I am sure it will come, but so far so good.

Might want to stock up on the cleaners. I have a gut feeling it will be a never ending battle. You might as well go fully auto and let the pipe cleaners rock and roll. Good Luck!!!!! Let me know how it works out for ya. If you happen to have free time mine has the same issue barely starting to develop and you can get more practice for free. I'll throw in a framed Air Wash Master Cleaner certificate and a cup of coffee. I'll spring for the pipe cleaners too. LOL!

That's a pretty good idea. Haven't gotten that far with my new one yet. First pellet stove I've owned and I am digging it!

Looks like you have an Accentra. Where are the outlets for the airwash? Can you post a picture?

Heck, we're in the arts/crafts superstores enough (stocking up on scented jar candles) so picking up form pipe cleaners is no problem. OTOH, I'm so new to my Accentra I'm lucky to know where the glass is, much less these outlets.

Can't post a picture because the stove is burning! Look at the slots along the bar which divides the stove into upper and lower "halves" in the front of the stove, just above the ash bin. You will see that when the door is closed those slots are just below the glass. This is the horizontal bar which runs side to side.

Thanks Much..

Last year I actually used a compressor and blew out the air wash area.....seemed to work well for a few days then back to normal.....just how it is. I only clean mine after about a half ton or so (glass)....or when company is coming! LOL
