Hey just wanted to know how soon the first latch adjustment was needed on the f55? I had mine for two weeks and the door got obviously easier to latch and I noticed the tiniest amount of light on the side of the door.

On a cool stove you can perform the dollar bill test. Close a piece of paper in the door a pull it out. There should be some resistance. Probably years.

Yeah I've used that method before. I was just surprised to see a little glow between the gasket on a new stove
If that’s the case get it adjusted ASAP. A leak that big is a good way to overfire a new stove. I’m surprised too. I love my Jotul but I’m not impressed with the direction they have gone in the last two years.

I removed a shim on my F45 latch after the first year. Going on year two with it and still have good seal.

It just noticed a little light around where the handle is. The gasket crushed down nicely all the way around the door. I'll give it the dollar bill test before the next time I light it. It's a very small area right on the corner where the gasket goes around the latch
