Another burning season is upon us here in Central VA. I figured why not, good evening to test the new chimney liner and burn some fine Virginia Pine!

Sounds like a good enough reason to me to start a fire :) I've had my 52i going for about an hour on 3 separate mornings so far :) (and I was the only one home ;) )

so..... is the fire going yet? don't leave us hanging!!!

Look at that hound! He appreciates a good wood stove.

First rainy day in a month and our cat has been rubbing up against the wood stove.

59 degrees in Charlottesville. Gonna be warm in that house tonight Wahoo.

I'm holding off as long as I can. Last year I made it to end of October but this year the weather is going to be different. Shoulder season's starting early.

We had a couple nights in the 40s here this week and when the house got down to 66 one morning I thought about a fire downstairs in the old Woodstock Classic, but then it warmed up a bit outside. I try to hold off on the first fire until I feel we really need it. After all, anticipation is at least half the pleasure, right? Also, I think about carrying those logs a quarter mile up and down the ravines to get them home for processing!

i fired the pellet stove off for a short run last night just to make sure all was operating properly since i put her to bed for the summer, fired right up ==c wife comes home "why did you start the pellet stove"? i said , i wanted to check her out so i would know she was ready to rock when i needed her.;)

she said "you just want to play with fire"o_O

guilty ;lol
