Saw these today at TSC in MI. $225/ton. Grabbed a bag to try, but I'm curious what others have experienced with these too.

Grab them, they'll burn and produce heat.

Well I grabbed 2 bags.. Other than the fact that I would likely freeze to death this winter from lack of heat and they burn dirty there is not much else I can say about them.
For about $25. more a ton I can buy some really good pellets in this area.

I picked mine up in Menards, Platteville,Wi. Will have to mix them with corn in the st croix to get rid of the 2 bags I bought, tried them in the st croix and it didn't go well.

Low Heat, Dirty fire, lots of ash, lot of fines in bottom of bag. They look like a lot of bark in in them. Other than that it was good.....

Sorry to hear that, was hoping we'd have a descent semi-local product.
Care to elaborate on the "didn't go well".
