Don't blame the stove. Looks like bad installation.
 
With 21 people in the house body heat should heat the place down to around 10F.

Wanna bet non of the 21 could read beyond a 2nd grade level. Are manufactures going to have to make better pictorials for installs?:(
 
Um no house insurance too? Sounds sketchy to begin with.
 
If it wasn't an approved install, house insurance wouldn't pay anyways.
