Ridge flashing for a 4/12 roof lol. What chimney are you usingIt looks as if I will be going straight through the ridge with an eight inch chimney. It is a metal roof 4/12. Any suggestions on which flashing to use?
Yes it doesProbably the easiest scenario to encounter. Ridge exit with trusses. One question for the pros: Does the 3 foot minimum above the deck apply in a ridge exit?
Except every time I look for a flashing that breaks both ways so that it will sit on the ridge I am told it will not work or that it is a one off custom option as no company manufactures one.Probably the easiest scenario to encounter. I imagine at this point I will be contacting manufactures direct.
Any 8" OD flashing will work with any 8" OD pipe, provided it is vented as required.
Olympia makes whatever pitch you need for ridge flashing. Their eventos pipe is sold under the name champion. I believe excel does the sameExcept every time I look for a flashing that breaks both ways so that it will sit on the ridge I am told it will not work or that it is a one off custom option as no company manufactures one.

A couple days is not enough. If you called us you would get an appointment for us to come and look at it in about a month.I made a couple of calls this morning before I left for work. I told both outfits I wanted everything from the ceiling box to the cap. I will give them a day or two and see if either one comes through.
Thanks for the recent pointers. If neither of my prospects pays off, I now have additional options.

Yes but I would never give a quote on materials without seeing what was needed myself. He is looking for a quote on materials, not an installation.
Yes and that is why you are having problems you are dealing with people who don't know their products and don't care. The hardware stores do not send employees out to see if the customer has correctly ordered what he needs. If I come up short or have an overage, that is my problem, and for the most part they do not care.
