A couple years ago I was doing great getting ahead. And then, due to family circumstances, I slacked off on my firewood gathering duties. I was able to cut, split (most of it) and piled in the woods but couldn't get the wood to the house and stacked.
Things have improved drastically and in the past two weeks I have hauled and stacked about four cords out of the woods. Four cords with a WIDE moisture range. This winter is going to suck. Next year's wood will be stacked in the next few weeks so no problem there.
Lesson learned....

Not sure if it is coincidence but I have put on almost 20 lbs in the same period.



That's why I'm grabbing it now, instead of stacking Ash at the relatives' like a good boy.
