Found the old pic - Solar in my own house!

I was looking for old pics - to illustrate some writing I may do....

This is our house - we bought in 1978 and owned for 26 years. The DHW Solar panels on the roof were installed (I was selling Solar at the time!) in 1980.
Soon after I built the Passive Solar Sun Room you see on the left.

We even had built-in-wall heat pumps! That is in addition to the various woodstoves and wood/coal central heaters I'd usually have.

Passive Solar was a big deal back then.....of course, it was a big deal for much of history but forgotten once central heat and air came into play.

They were some of the pioneers i n ac and heat pumps as i remember

Ah yes, my dad's company sold and installed Carrier and Frederichs back in the day. He was an early proponent of heat pumps.

Looks like a beautiful place. But most of all I’m jealous of the simple design of your roof. Ice dams will be the death of me... forget about putting solar on my roof
