Not sure if you guys over the water have ever seen this but i got a small score over the weekend and there was some red stuff coming out of it like blood.
It was a Gum tree so i am not sure if its part of the sap or what but it gets everywhere. Had to wash my splitter afterwards.
Also put a picture of one of the twins feeding a king parrot on the deck from the weekend.

but some are very similar. the abourist told me there were over 40 different types of Mountain Ash which are prevalent around here. Like you say the majority of them and straight grained and grow straight too. Some are very hard to split, but have benefits of being very dense and burn long and give out plenty of heat. This one attached is from some land i used to own. ![[Hearth.com] Freaky - my woods 'bleeding' [Hearth.com] Freaky - my woods 'bleeding'](https://www.hearth.com/talk/data/attachments/114/114787-d948ad6385b29ed9a208cdb86cb662c9.jpg?hash=83Nic_Gzp_)
