I found a really nice hop hornbeam log today. Roughly 1/10 of a cord in total. It was a recent deadfall, nearly bark free, feels dry to the touch.
From chimneysweeponline, this should give about 2.6 million BTU. With my current cost of propane (~2.20/gal) I think I just saved a good $60 on one tree that will take me about 60 minutes to process.
