My P43 is new , just started it up this past weekend.
It is set on room temp. mode. The weather here is still mild , but I was anxious
to start her up.
My question is, after reaching desired temp., is it normal for the stove to shut
completely down and the fire and fan go off , and then to start back up when
the room sensor calls for heat ? Or should the stove be always lit ?
Mine is shutting down after reaching desired temp , then re-igniteing when
the room temp drops......just wondering if mine is running correctly ?

Yup, that's what room temp auto does and that's the way many of us Harman owners run ours this time of year.
Click on the link in my signature and learn how to run that baby smoothly. Welcome to Harman ownership.

I agree. It's working as designed. I found over the years that running with the igniter in Auto burns it out more quickly so I keep mine in Manual mode which will keep the fire going.

Thanks , glad to here it's operating properly !
Now I will be tinkering with temp and feed rate to get it just right ?
Will also be trying different pellets to see which work best.
have tried Greenway and they worked fairly well , going to try pellet pro next.
any other suggestions for pellets ?
Also , always great help on this site !!

READ the info I suggested. Set your feed rate at 4 and forget it. Try all the pellets you want...a Harman will burn anything.
