Do just some saws use two piston rings or just the bigger ones. I really don't know.

A lot of them use two rings. Two rings seals better at rpms below 9k or so but has more friction.

Love those cheap buys where a new piston and cylinder get'em up and runnin like new! In some models the gasket on the cylinder can be thinner than stock or, left out in lieu of permatex, for some extra compression. Then it's better than new! Go get'em.

OEM should be just under $200 with shipping.
