And just to reiterate, under 20% is after you have brought the wood inside and up to room temp (which I believe means inside for 24 to 48 hours or so), then split and then taking the moisture reading on the freshly split face.

Problem is you need just a little more fire stuff. Get a sooteater.
 
You're going to make out just fine. Youre asking the right questions.

I had wet wood my first year and pallets got me through it. You've already got the pallets.

Keep checking that chimney. I think I ran a brush through it monthly when I started.
