The stove....waiting for installers to return..... (broken image removed)

yer making this look easy. Those sure are nice looking stoves, BTW.

Where we will be going through the roof. Rafter in the direct path for a straight shot through. Need to add 45's (broken image removed)

What am I looking at there? Are your "rafters" or roof bracing just 2x4s layed the flat way with plywood sheathing? I hope I'm just seeing that wrong!

If not, is your roof really sagging?

edit...ohhh, i see that isn't a 1x4 or whatever running horizontally across the picture, that is the rafter. I get it now. Sorry. the coloring and shadows were playing with me.

<sniff> Is that a break-in fire I'm smelling?

How sweet it is....

Just a taste of what you might expect from her....my gas bill for Nov/Dec. came today: $25, which includes fuel for the gas oven and cooktop!

Looking good....are you going to run some jack studs from the cut rafter ends down to the ceiling joists on both sides? You might consider it. A load of snow and that rafter bridge alone might not keep it from sagging.

yes, as we speak. Close to a retaining wall as well.

Can't ask for better than that, nope. Sounds like a first class installation all around. BTW, when you see that shot up the chimney to the open sky, it sort of makes you appreciate the need to do it when it is not raining, huh? :-)

I hope all these pics help future people. We still have awhile to go here. Its gonna be a late one. (broken image removed)

Does your class-A chimney system require 2" clearance to combudtables? It is hard to tell in the picture, but it looks like the roof penetration might be a little tight around the chimney.

yes and we are exceeding that. Sorry about the pics. Does this look okay even with the brackets? (broken image removed)

The hole in wall for the outside air kit (broken image removed)

Are they planning on finishing tonight? They are cooking. Will be done shortly!

And I just realized you are in a completely different time zone. Did ya order these dudes some pizza and soda? Send them on their way with the soda or beer of their liking when they finish up!

I gave them plenty out beer. Heres the oak... (broken image removed)

Woah, so the top chord of your rafter they cut? AND it's only a 2x4? Do you guys get not much snow?

I would have moved the chimney over to go between vs cutting a rafter!

5hrs, not too bad though. The guys that did mine where in and out in about 2.5 hours. It would have took me about that long to find a ladder in my shed!
