Wow I just discovered sassafras . Every window and door is open . It's 17 degrees outside and 90 inside ! This wood stuff is awesome !

You should try it in a (meat) smoker!! Even an open flame wood fire with a little sas mmmm.

It won't hold the fire as long but will throw some pretty good heat. The best part is cutting the stuff as it fills the air with this wonderful aroma.

Burned a little bit for the first time this winter as well and liked it too. Started right off and hot.
I'm going to plan about a half cord for next winter
