I went to Menards site to check stock on a 6" chimney brush at my local store tonight and noticed they are having a great wood burner sale until the end of this week. Tundra at $1246 after sale and rebate, that is at least $200 less than I have ever seen the Tundra anywhere before! Some really good deals on lots of other stoves/inserts/furnace models too. Just a heads up for anybody shopping...

That's a huge deal, lots of stoves out there that cost way more than that. Most do, actually. I have always felt that there are a lot of people out there who only thought stove when they got into wood burning, only to come up short with the end result because they really should have thought furnace.

Thanks for the heads up! Was waiting for them to go on sale. Put my order in tonight. I've been trolling this site for some time researching different info. I may have questions for you all down the road. I know I have to install metal duct work. What I have now is that fiber board with flex ducting off of it. If I understand correctly that is a no go. I will also need to put in a chimney but know a guy who installs them. I would like to do most of the work myself. I really enjoy the site. Hope I don't drive everyone nuts with my questions in the future.

FYI, Menards also has really good prices on Supervent class A chimney. $59 per 6" x 36" section when it is on sale. It's like $66 something right now with the 11% off sale, which is a pretty good price too. I put up a Supervent a few years ago, good product.

I was walking through my local Menards today and saw the stoves/inserts/furnaces on sale. I was like Wow! Some good prices if your looking to buy. I love the idea of the Tundra furnace add on. Maybe in our next house :)

Last call, this smokin ;) sale at Menards ends tonight...
