Just wondering, are pacific energy and blaze king cat stoves radiant heaters or are they a combination radiant and convection heaters. I could not find any info on they're wbsite about this.

PE stoves are convective. Some Blaze King stoves are more radiant if the side and real shields are not ordered with the stove. Usually you can tell this by the clearance requirements.

The Blaze King Ultra is more conductive, even though the blower is an option. The Ultra is shielded on the back and the sides, and on the King Ultra 3/4 of the top as well. On the Ultra the shields are standard and are not removable. If you get the Parlor model, it does not have the shields on the sides or the convection deck. It would be a good radiant stove. I prefer the Ultra, it gives good radiant heat, but with blower, it's pretty awesome.
