Howdy,
I "dry fitted" the Englander 13 and before I install it for good this weekend, wondering if I should paint the firebrick in the fireplace. "Before" picture is before I grounded out some mortar.
Leave firebrick as is? Paint the whole thing flat black? or paint it "Sedona" red? Leave the fireplace floor as is or paint it a color too?
FYI: Most painted fireplace pictures here on Hearth.com are painted black. My wood floors are stained "Sedona" red.. Thoughts, comments, threats welcomed!
By the way, with the door off, and the stoves' firebricks taken out, and the pedestal removed and replaced with the legs- this thing is actually pretty easy for two guys to move around with just hands- no wheelie needed.
