Has anyone atempted this? My panels are very faded after one year. Wonder if the high heat paint is ok for open flames to touch? Any ideas besides buying new panels

Hello

Yes I did, but that stove has an iron fire brick that lasts a very long time. I would not recommend painting the fiber board panels that the 5660 has. :-(

I figured that. I was more worried about the paint on the open flame . Think ill have an issue with flammability?Have you ever had issues with your restos?

I use the Flame Proof very high temp 2,000 deg Header paint in Flat Black from the auto parts store with no problems. :-)
