Have you considered selling pieces of the bark? Wood carvers love cottonwood bark. It cuts clean and they can make intricate cuts with it. Do an internet search and see what they are getting for a box of the stuff. My dad loves carving it and complained how much it costs. Maybe post a CL add and see if you get any bites, or if there is a wood carving club locally, see if members would buy a box of it.
