Do any of you fine members use the Pleasant Hearth 1800 sq. ft. wood stove from Lowes for heating and have any helpful reviews for me. I am looking for something to heat my unfinished basement when I am working there (maybe 10 times a winter). My local lowes has them for $594, seems like a good price to me, but any insight would be appreciated. Pipe is there and ready to go (40 feet)

I have one that I purchased this fall and has heated my home excellent 24/7. I live in northern michigan and it has been the best investment ive made in a long time.

i got one this fall have used 20 hours a day on average, once you get feel for it great stove for the price, used
75 gallons of heating oil this year so far, norm would have been 500 to 600 by now .

I installed one Nov. 2 in my basement. It heats the basement fine, and I have learned how to get an overnight burn (but you probably don't need it for that...). My dogs sleep in the basement, so it's "their" stove. They let me get near it to reload, and that's about it.

I will, however, either be moving it upstairs to the dining room/kitchen area, or installing a second stove there. Depends on whether I go back to work, and how much do-re-mi I have to work with.

I got mine for $629, so you're getting a sweet deal on that.
