The internal damper, (Item # 8 on this page)

http://www.woodinsert.com/tl200.php

came loose from the frame (item #10) tonight after I loaded the stove and tried to shut the damper. I'm guessing either one of the clips broke or one of the pins on the damper. The gasket on the frame has been missing for a while, which is on the back of the frame, you can see it in this image.

Does this look like anything special to you other than just plain gasket material? I figure while I have it apart I might as well replace the gasket. I didn't know if it had to be anything "special" since it is inside the stove. Any special adhesive? I figure I might as well replace the gasket since I now have to take it apart.

Thanks!

Hello Josh,
Did you ever receive any help from this posting,Jan.2018,as I own a TL200 and have replaced ALL gaskets, factory damper weldment clips-fabricated my own and used longer threaded bolts w/nuts,and am in process of replacing ceramic silicate insulation behind Afterburner Hood Weld. and behind firebricks. I really hope to find out what this Red Clay insulating material that's applied to the Aft.Brn. weldment under the ceramic insulation and where to buy it ?
Please excuse me if you receive this inquiry in re-Red Clay inquiry ?, as I'm at a loss of who to ask or where to find an answer as it's clearly NOT a hard cement.
