Interesting . . . according to this the Bryants (who I know and live in the town next to my hometown) have the largest collection of antique stoves . . . sadly they are getting up there in years and none of their kids are interested in the business.) I like my modern stove, but the old classic stoves are certainly neat to see.
Gotta disagree with Joe though . . . "They knew more about how to build a stove in 1900 than they do today." If anything I think they know a lot more about building stoves today -- the ability to burn less wood, get as long burn times and burn cleanly . . .
