Rear venting a Jutul DV 300 using LP

Any opinions on horizontal venting a Jutul DV 300 from the rear while using LP? I've heard it's more efficient with propane to go up and then out but directly going out from the rear would be easier and cheaper.
 
Never had a problem installing a rear vent LP unit.
Don't know where you heard that.
Thanks for replying. It was the most knowledgeable guy at the stove store where I bought it. He was adamant that the stoves efficiency because it was LP (propane) was diminished if you didn't vent up (vertical) and then out (horizontal).
