Just picked up a large woodstove, and noticed it has a 1/2 " threaded pipe coming out the back. Looking inside it has square tubing and a flat plate in the middle. There are two slots in the back of the stove for the tubing. Can someone tell me what exactly this is for?

The square tubing looks original to the stove, but is only open in the back so I dont understand how they could be used for blowing air for heat. The center piece might be original too...maybe not. I need to try to take the center part out and inspect it...but was hoping this might look familiar to someone.

Well I was able to find the text to the person I bought it from, he said it was an oil setup! I couldnt speak to him long so I am not sure if it was just a drip or forced with air, but plan on researching more now and test it with just oil. Any threads here on that, or sites that have a lot of info on oil burning setup?
