Rivian electric trucks are rolling off the production line

Just did some work at an old Mitsubishi car plant that Rivian bought. They are gunna be making electric vans for Amazon.

I seen that they were building vans for Amazon, looks like Amazon is one Rivian's largest investors. Sounds like they are looking for 100,000 vans.

I hope someone is looking at grid infrastructure, the wave of the electric car seems to be coming quick, and that energy needs to come from somewhere.

Looks like a Ridgeline...
Should be awsome

Time to fire up a few coal plants to charge the "green" fleet.
The industry that produces the raw materials for the "green" batterys is worse on the environment then the oil industry. But most of it is in third world countries so at least they have some work...

Sorry, but you're dead wrong.

You do also realize that a vast amount of the oil produced in the world also comes from third world countries? Including the oil imported to the east coast of Canada?

Don't believe everything you read on Facebook.

PS The above comes from a person whose entire career has been spent in the oil and gas industry.

Have zero use for farcebook
Producing oil and producing the matierials for batterys is like comparing having a coffee to taking a crap

Yet the lifetime of those battery materials is so long because it is all recycled again and again means the environmental impact of battery production and use is far less than that of oil production and use.

There is also tons of development being done to improve every aspect of battery production and use and relatively little being done regarding fossil fuels.

Not a fan of how the cybertruck looks. I understand the "reasons" why Musk designed it that way, but really its just his 12 year fantasy lol (don't get me wrong, Musk's 12 year old fantasies have moved industry a lot, but his truck is ugly lol). This truck looks like it is tacoma/ ranger size, which is exactly what I would use.
As soon as the price becomes comparable to a tacoma/ ranger, I would absolutely be in the market for one of these.
