Hello
It looks like a gas leak where the solenoid
I removed the carburetor and checked the solenoid. See video.
It seems to be working fine

Is there a good sealant that works with gasoline around the threads?
What is the best fix? See pics
I also heard that the solenoid really not needed and it can be disabled by cutting the stem off and disconnecting the wire? Anyone do that?

Just fix it. Verify it’s not just loose and if so, tighten it. Next, remove it and if it’s not a gasket, reseal the threads with any of the pipe dopes that are rated for gasoline.

Thanks, I found some dope good for oil so I will try that.

Sol. is a fuel shut off device. Keeps your crankcase from filling up with gas if float sticks and during transport.

I added one to my Weber carb to stop dieseling. You know, running after you shut the key off.
