Had anybody ever tried standing their wood upright in the stove to optimize burn time...
While this might not be possible work a good bed if coals, maybe a large split on the side or in the back???
Thoughts?!?!
I did do a quick search...
how about upside down?
Standing up, laying flat, diagonally or upside down. I don't think it will make one bit of difference. The chemical reaction of fire is not affected by those factors inside the firebox of a wood stove. It's all the same wood occupying the same space. Kind of like turning a sphere upside down or on its side....if you get my drift.Had anybody ever tried standing their wood upright in the stove to optimize burn time... i wouldn't put them all in there that way, because that way when they fall over, they will land on the glass....
