They said pine burns dirty...what am I doing wrong?

Cleaned my stove and chimney today. Second year with the wood stove and burn only pine and juniper. Shop that installed the stove said I should only have to have them clean the chimney every two years. Being new to this and this being my second season I decided to clean the chimney myself today with a kit I got off Amazon. Didn't get anything back after running the brush from inside the stove up to the cap. So I took off a piece of the flue inside and looked up and figured out why I didn't get anything back with the brush...because there's nothing in there! Cap is also clear up top, so that alleviates my fears of build-up. Whatever I've been doing I guess I'm going it right.

Clean living in the woods. I burn fir almost exclusively and the flue stays quite clean.

Yes, it is an optical illusion. There are no trees that close to the house/chimney! In order to take a pic of the chimney cap I had to go up on a hill a little bit away from the house and zoom in on the phone. The trees are where I was taking the pic, not near the house.
