Made a trip to the TSC in Sussex NJ (little more than 20 mi from home) because they have Eco Bricks on sale for $2.99 for an 8-pack/24 lbs.
I'm short on wood this year because lots of it is half seasoned Ash from a large dead standing tree I dropped in my yard. I'll be mixing the bricks in with this wood.
Had never been to TSC. I was hoping it wouldn't be another big box store in a giant big box store mall. Indeed it wasn't. Actually a fairly small stand alone building.Walked up to the door and there were pallets of the Ecos in front of the store. Went inside and spoke to a clerk. "Just tell the cashier how many you want and on the way out use the cart and dump them in you car." "Oh, like the old days, sez I" "Yep comes the reply, we trust people."
I bought 20 packs but it's too warm in the next few days for a fire. Very pleasant experience indeed. Will be going back to TSC.
