I ordered a Hearthstone Heritage in Seafoam enamel 10 months ago (Nov 2022). The dealer told me that the production date for that stove would be in April. April came and went, then it was "May", then "July", then "August", then "September" - but guess what... no joy! What gives? Is this normal?

Once you buy the stove, you're stuck with the dealer for life. Everyone else refuses to service it if they didn't install it. If the dealer's giving you the runaround now, I'd seriously consider cancelling the PO and going with another installer.

On the bright side, your firewood is more seasoned now...

It's a reputable dealer that does a lot of business, so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming that the issue is really with Hearthstone eternally postponing the production week for that stove - supposedly because parts are not available. It seems especially obnoxious since I had to put ~80% down on the order. Yes, on the positive side firewood is happily stacked up on the porch and dry as a bone.
