Upgrade suggestions

Hello, all. I currently have a vermont castings montpellier insert that I have had for the last 10 years or so. I regret not getting something with a larger firebox. Was thinking about upgrading. Any suggestions for a starting point? Appreciate any input. Stay warm.

Pacific energy. Blaze king if you want a cat stove. Blue ridge 500i is the biggest value oriented. Osborn if you want something that might be trimmed out better.

There are also the Regency i2700 and the Lopi Large hybrid inserts. Make sure there is room for a larger insert first.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, but the system isn’t letting me DM you for some reason.

I’m also on Long Island, and I am very interested in hearing your experience with wood stoves in our climate (I’m also on Long Island). I’m thinking about getting a Lopi large insert to maximize viewing area, but I’m also concerned with overheating our house. How has your prior wood stove handled our weather? Also, do you have a preferred installer out here? I’ve only found a handful of stores, at least close-ish to me. Thanks!
