USSC AP5000

I found threads on the older USSC 4840, but have not seen any for the newer AP5000. I am interested in one for heating our smaller living room, space is tight so this would be a perfect fit for what I am looking for but the lack of new reviews is giving me pause, anyone seen the newer version in person and have any thoughts on it?

The original ones were a fire hazard and pulled from the market
I also believe they were recalled. It would take a lot for me to buy one

I think you are referring to the window based units, and yes they did have issues with those and took them off the market and I do believe replaced them with the 4840 which is wall mounted. I am still trying to dig up all the info on these units but the AP5000 has replaced the 4840. I am not seeing any reports of fire hazards but reports on control boards and electronics going up in them, which can happen with any unit.

After reading the manual all it is is a pellet stove that hangs on a wall .
Perfect for small spaces, ideal for a tiny home. The only thing that puts me off
is in the manual it says "Do not use unattended "
I leave my stove burning 24/7 in the heating season if I am here or not

I have not heard any thing good or bad on the AP5000, the 4840 had control board problems and no all pellet stoves do not have control board problems, usually lack of surge protection is the problem. Also consider a compact free standing if space is a issue.
